One pranayama, called Nadi shodhana (or alternate-nostril breathing) has been backed by research1 to help people get into a more relaxed state. Still, though, enlightened or not, we can all do practices to open and heal the crown chakra and cultivate more connection in our lives. While the crown chakra doesn’t fully develop until ages 42 to 49, even then, not everyone will fully open their crown chakra in their lifetime.
Crown Chakra is the Centre where all the lower level Chakras integrate with their respective traits. It is said that once you master your lower level chakras, you are more likely to balance your Crown as well. The Third-Eye Chakra is also known as Ajna Chakra located in the Centre of the forehead between the eyebrows.
The throat chakra asks us to vibrate higher; to synthesize, create, and express thoughts and feelings. It is conscious creation, as opposed to the orange creation that happens without consciousness. If it’s in balance, you’ll feel joy, gratitude, love, and compassion for those around you.
As an entrepreneur, you tend to have a laser focus on your business(es). After that comes time with loved ones, and, ideally, some sleep thrown in there. Similar to the lower chakras, Maslow’s hierarchy starts with the basic necessities of survival such as food, water, shelter etc. In many ways, the chakra system, and especially the lower three chakras, remind me of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. The renowned physiologist Abraham Maslow created this hierarchy.
Just like a tree can’t grow without a solid foundation, you cannot thrive if your root chakra is out of whack. If this chakra is blocked or unbalanced, your other chakras’from the solar plexus to the crown’likely are as well. When the sixth chakra is blocked the imbalance may present itself physically within the brain, eyes, pineal gland, and pituitary gland. It can manifest as headaches, dizziness, poor vision, seizures, and lack of concentration. Emotionally blockages within the Anahata chakra include struggling to forgive others, feeling unwanted, jealousy and possessiveness, criticism, and pessimism.
Many people suffer from shoulder and neck pains when their throat energy is out of whack. A sense of hopelessness comes when your second chakra suffers. Psychics say a person with this one chakra imbalance may face recurrent problems or get blocked repeatedly in their life. One may also feel lost or addicted to substances, alcohol, and food in such a case. 7 Chakras are the converging point of Ida and Pingala Nadis which are the source of Sun and Moon energy in the body.
That’s the common problem of living in the age of convenience. When you notice something taking more effort than normal, you are more likely to pay someone else to figure it out for you. Before you can find out which of your chakras is out of whack, you must first recognize their existence. This is done in a few ways, including figuring out which chakras come easiest to you.
When it comes to holistic healing and energy work, understanding the chakra system is crucial. Each chakra in our body corresponds to different physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our being. When one of these energy centers becomes unbalanced, it can manifest in various symptoms and issues. But which unbalanced chakra causes this?
The Root Chakra
The first chakra, known as the Root Chakra or Muladhara, is located at the base of the spine. When this chakra is unbalanced, you may experience feelings of insecurity, fear, and lack of stability in your life. Physical symptoms can include lower back pain, constipation, and issues with the legs and feet.
The Sacral Chakra
The second chakra, the Sacral Chakra or Svadhisthana, is located below the navel. An imbalance in this chakra can lead to difficulties in expressing emotions, intimacy issues, and a lack of creativity. Physical symptoms may include reproductive issues, urinary problems, and lower back pain.
Understanding which unbalanced chakra causes this can help you target your energy work and healing practices more effectively. By identifying the specific chakra that is out of alignment, you can take steps to rebalance your energy and bring harmony back to your mind, body, and spirit.
