Many people have heard of the concept of chakras, but understanding how they work and what they mean can be confusing. The root chakra, also known as the Muladhara, is the first chakra located at the base of the spine. It is associated with feelings of safety, security, and grounding. But what exactly does it mean to have a “confused” root chakra? Is it a cause or an effect of other issues?
Crystals carry healing properties that connect to each chakra ‘ and the elements within that resonate with that outside of us ‘ uniquely. Stones hold vibrational energy that resonate with our energy centers to heal the body, mind, and soul. More gifts of a strong and healthy root chakra include physically a strong immune system, healthy bowels, and strong bones and muscles. It includes balanced functions within the kidneys, colon, and adrenal glands. Below, we provide three simple chakra balancing techniques you can practice daily to restore balance to this energy center.
For example, an authentic desire for a toddler may be the preference for apple juice over orange. One morning, the coffee shop is sold out of apple juice, so the parent gives them orange. When the toddler throws a tantrum among a crowd full of people to express their unmet desire, the parent becomes embarrassed and frustrated. Some version of this has happened to all of us as young children and we learned to compromise our less critical (yet authentic) needs or desires to secure attachment and survive. Cultivating these qualities is a practice that’s supported by understanding where our needs and fears originate. Separating the real from the unreal, moving from dark to light can be achieved by exploring our internal storage system, better known as the subtle body, specifically known in Sanskrit as the chakras.

If you have more than half (at least 6 out of 10) of these symptoms, you probably have a weak root chakra.
The root chakra is the first energy center of the subtle body to develop, and therefore it becomes the foundation for all of the other chakras to build upon. Grounding exercises and meditation are essential for harmonizing the root chakra. By connecting with the earth’s energy, you can release any excess or blocked energy from your root chakra.
But because they are words or thoughts without any special energetic powers’ repeating positive affirmations may not give the results you’re looking for. Words hold immense power, and when used with intention, they can create a profound impact on our energy and mindset. Affirmations and mantras are two such practices that can help us shift our thoughts and beliefs, thereby supporting our Root Chakra’s balance and overall well-being. Now that you’re armed with the knowledge you need to awaken and restore your root chakra, we hope you choose one or more of the practices listed above and make it part of your daily or weekly routine.
